Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool for the Innovation and Educational Technologies Unit.  Areas of potential need may be in the fields of:

  • Computer and Information Technologies

    • Adobe DC Certified in Reader Pro, Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign

This position is considered a temporary, part-time position used to fill both online and in person courses.

Applicants accepted for online course assignments will be required to complete a Faculty Certification Training Program for Online Instructors and meet (online or in-person) with a member of the online learning staff.  When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.

Provides instruction to students, prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress (utilizing Starfish). Completes course assessments, creates digital videos (i.e. welcome, course tours, topic specific, etc.), and follows the Blackboard ECP Rubric for all online courses.

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited association.

3-5 years of experience in discipline area including online teaching.

Please detail experience using Blackboard (or similar learning management system) and teaching online.
