Students MUST contact the ACTC Office of Financial Aid to determine eligibility for the FWS program prior to completing the employment application. Once your eligibility has been determined, you may complete the FWS job application.

Under the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program, students can earn money for their education by working part-time, on-campus, while enrolled in school either full or part-time. If you are awarded a Federal Work-Study, you will earn the current federal minimum wage. Federal Work-Study funds are limited. Employment and/or positions are not guaranteed for all those who qualify or who apply.

Advising Center (College Drive & Technology Drive)

Answer and make phone calls

 

Assist with orientations and testing

 

Assist students with setting of student self-service accounts

 

Copying, filing, shredding

 

Perform other duties as assigned

 

Maintain confidentiality according to FERPA at all times

Assist with peer advising duties

Financial Aid (College Drive)

Answer phones, assist with office mailings, copying documents, and filing

 

Greet and assist students

 

Perform other duties as assigned

 

Maintain confidentiality according to FERPA at all times

Computer Lab Tech (College Drive & Technology Drive)

To assist with running the Computer Access Center

 

Scheduling students for exam proctoring by taking phone messages

 

Keeping the lab open during lunch hour

 

Training will be provided in applicable areas

 

Be dependable and be on time

 

Answer telephone, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, check out equipment

 

Assist students with computer related needs

 Recruitment Office                                                                  Help hang & remove marketing materials
                                                                                             
                                                                                                    Work and gather items needed for special events
                                                                                            
                                                                                                    Make copies, complete mailings, data entry                                                                                                        and other clerical type duties
                                                                                             
                                                                                                    Other duties as assigned
                                                                                            
                                                                                                    Maintain FERPA at all times
 
Marketing & Community Relations (Technology Drive)   Help take photos at events and activities
                                                                                            
                                                                                                    Assist with content for social media
                                                                                           
                                                                                                    Data entry
                                                                                           
                                                                                                    Assist with mailings
                                                                                           
                                                                                                    Perform other duties as assigned
