Students MUST contact the ACTC Office of Financial Aid to determine eligibility for the FWS program prior to completing the employment application. Once your eligibility has been determined, you may complete the FWS job application.


Under the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program, students can earn money for their education by working part-time, off-campus, while enrolled in school either full or part-time. If you are awarded a Federal Work-Study, you will earn at least the current federal minimum wage. Federal Work-Study funds are limited. Employment and/or positions are not guaranteed for all those who qualify or who apply.
 
Children's Advocate Assistant
 
Help tutor and read to children
 
Assist the Child Advocate in planning and implementing fun/educational groups and outings
 
Assist Child Advocate in providing mentoring/self-esteem role modeling
 
Assist Child Advocate in providing healthy living services such as discipline techniques, brushing teeth/ washing hands/safety planning/eating healthy/social media etiquette
 
Assist in developing conflict resolution/team building activities for pre-teens/ teens.
 
 
 
 
Food Service Assistant
 
Assist Food Service Manager with planning/shopping/preparing/organizing food pantry
 
Assist with managing volunteers to help prepare and clean food service areas.
 
Assist Manager with collecting and distribution of food donations, such as preparing food boxes and pick up for River Cities Harvest.
 
 
 
Administrative Assistant
 
Assist the Administration with filing/flyers/program materials/organizing supplies/equipment/mailings/answer phones/ and all duties that are assigned by Administrative staff.
 
 
 
Advocate Assistant/Crisis Office
 
Answer the phone, watch cameras, help clients' with mail, and any duties for office/client assistance.
 
 
 
**They are open 24/7 so that day shift/split shifts/evening shifts/midnights are available.
