Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for the Certified Nurse Aide Adjunct Instructor. The Certified Nurse Aide Adjunct Instructor will teach nurse aide classes, including didactic, lab, and clinical instruction.

Duties:

• Provides didactic and clinical instruction for nurse aide students.
• Follows federal and state regulations and guidelines pertaining to the Medicaid Nurse Aide program.
• Keeps accurate and up-to-date records for the nurse aide program.
• Securely maintains tests and records.
• Identifies supplies needed to conduct class and lab.
• Schedules required clinical days with contracted long-term care facilities and attend clinical days with nurse aide students.
• Completes and maintains the required files and other pertinent records in order to maintain clinical facility compliance.
• Determines clinical placement of students.

These positions are temporary positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed.

Day, evening, weekend and/or online positions may be available for the next semester.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in KY or another compact state (must have multi-state privileges if not licensed in KY).
• Two (2) years of nursing experience, with a minimum of one year in a long-term care setting.
• Successful completion of Methods of Instruction (MOI) course. (Must be complete prior to providing instruction.)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree or higher.
• Prior teaching experience.
