Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for part-time faculty as an Instructor in the Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Department. This position teaches in the Commercial Air Conditioning Technology Track.

This position is a temporary position used to fill classroom vacancies as needed.

 

 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepares and provides instruction and hands-on training.
  • Teach students basic level commercial air conditioning skills and objectives.
  • Coordinates supplemental instruction with local business and industries.
  • Coordinates and supervises community-based or work-based learning projects.
  • Evaluates student performance and learning.
  • Assesses student learning outcomes and program learning outcomes to achieve institutional performance measures.


 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Must have 3 years' experience in related field.
  • Associate's degree in Air Conditioning Technology OR equivalent experience such as Journeymen License OR industry certifications or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge in Boilers, Commercial HVAC Systems, Chillers, and manual load calculations. 
  • Basic computer skills.
  • College teaching experience is preferred.

Screening Requirements:  Criminal Background Check 

Daytime or Evening class availability.  Online and/or hybrid positions may be available for Fall 2021. There may be flexibility with other work schedules.
