Job Summary
Do you have a passion for teaching and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals? We are seeking a dedicated Medical Information Technology Instructor to join our team! This program prepares students for careers in medical coding, insurance and billing, medical practice management, medical receptionists, unit coordinators, etc.
***This position will start Fall 2026***
Job Duties:
Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice of Medical Information Technology Program. Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials. Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, and maintains records and reports on student learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in health care related field and 1 year of work experience in a related field. OR Associate’s degree in related field and 3 years of work experience in a related field.
• Must possess excellent organizational, customer service, and public speaking skills as well as be current with technology and computer skills. Medical coding positions require a certification from national organizations (e.g., CPC, RHIT, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree and 2 years of work experience in a related field
• Previous teaching experience, especially teaching online courses.
