Job Summary

Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Student Recruiter (Admissions Counselor I) to join our team. The Student Recruiter will play a key role in promoting the college in order to attract prospective students and guiding them through the admissions process. This position involves local travel and relationship-building to increase awareness and enrollment.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract prospective students including engagement with high school     counselors, community organizations and workforce development agencies to create a strong recruitment pipeline.
• Lead and coordinate campus tours and informational sessions for prospective students and families.
• Assist prospective students in understanding the admissions process, application requirements and deadlines,       ensuring prospects have all the necessary information to successfully enroll
• Track and manage leads throughout the enrollment funnel from initial inquiry to application submission by   maintaining  consistent follow-up communication that includes key deadlines and opportunities
• Work closely with academic departments, student services, and faculty to promote academic programs, services and   student success initiatives
• Develop materials and messaging that accurately reflects the college’s offerings and collaborate with faculty and staff   to highlight unique aspects of the college experience
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging recruitment materials, social media content and email   campaigns.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, inquiries and applications in the CRM system in order to generate   reports and statistics
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s plus two years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from Big Sandy Community and Technical College
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
