Job Summary

The Kentucky Fire Commission is seeking an Asset and Facilities Management Specialist to provide operational support to the Director of Facilities and Fleet Management for district offices located in the western region of the state. This position is based out of the Fire Commission District 4 Office in Bowling Green, Ky.

Job Duties:

• Reviewing new vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, while monitoring proper upkeep and maintenance of all assets
• Traveling to district offices to conduct inventories of mobile fleet, equipment, and facilities.
• Evaluating vehicles, equipment, and facilities for repair, maintenance, and replacement needs.
• Overseeing and coordinating maintenance of Kentucky Fire Commission properties to ensure operational readiness and compliance with standards.
• Transporting and setting up trailers for classes as needed.
• Developing detailed reports in Word and Excel for asset management purposes to support organizational efficiency and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school or GED and 5 years of related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

8 years of related experience and Class A CDL license.

Additional Skills Requested:

Must be able to:
Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
Climb ladders and work on roofs.
Operate a forklift and scissor lift.
Operate a tractor and mower
