Job Summary

The Benefits and Wellness Manager will assist in the development of the system’s Benefits and
Wellness programs and be responsible for continuing to look at best in class benefits and wellness programs for KCTCS to implement to remain competitive in the market. This position will also be responsible for communicating and educating our employees on our comprehensive benefits and wellness programs. As the Benefits and Wellness Manager, you will design, recommend, and implement best practices that align with organizational goals and objectives. Responsibilities further include analysis of plan expenditures and industry trends, researched-based recommendations on major changes in programs and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Regularly develops and delivers training and communications for system benefits to
  ensure our employees are taking advantage of all the system has to offer.
• Manages vendor contracts and performance, and resolves escalated operational issues to
  ensure that employees receive the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the creation and delivery of wellness program initiatives,
  Oversees the administration of the annual open enrollment for welfare plans and
  communicates plan changes to employees.
• Recommend program changes to provide a competitive market position while effectively
  working with internal and external clients. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• 4 years previous experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

SPHR or PHR Preferred but not required

Additional Skills Requested:

• In depth knowledge of benefits administration and compliance in accordance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, IRS, and DOL Regulations
• Previous experience working with HRIS Peoplesoft System.
• Ability to multi-task and priority management.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data to determine trends.
• Previous background in developing and facilitating presentations/training.
