Job Summary

The Campus Assistant provides high quality customer service to prospective students, current students, parents, faculty, visitors, and community members to support the campus’ retention and expansion of student enrollment and strong community relations. The Campus Assistant also provides administrative and operational support to the Campus Director, including but not limited to procard edits, purchasing, budget processes, scheduling, promotional materials, campus tours, and campus events.

Job Duties:

  • Serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students, current students, parents, visitors and community members contacting the campus by phone, in person or via email. Delivers a high level of customer service by being knowledgeable about all areas of the college and providing accurate information and/or making referrals to other college departments as needed.

  • Provide specialized information to students and parents at campus to complete the admissions process, to receive financial aid, issues related to FASFA, add/drop courses, requesting a transcript, SAP documentation, tax transcripts, online courses, and applying for graduation.

  • Assists with daily activities of the campus including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and distributing mail.

  • Develops and implements office procedures and methods. Oversees daily flow of front office functions for the campus. Aligns department/unit functions as needed - assist with orientation dates, advising schedules, campus tours, and financial aid dates on campus in an efficient manner.

  • Oversees campus work study students. Directs job responsibilities and monitors work and hours worked.

  • Responsible for purchasing for the campus and performs all procard edits and paperwork to support. Attend college wide budget update and training meetings.

  • Performs assigned PeopleSoft functions.

  • Assists with special events and campus tours including scheduling, rental forms, insurance certificates, room reservations and work orders.

  • Coordinates and proctors placement tests.

  • Makes student IDs.

  • Assist the campus director as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and one year of related experience, or equivalent.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field. and 3 years or related experience

  • Prior experience of office management systems and procedures.

  • Good organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Self-directed and ability to carry out most assignments with limited direct supervision.
