Job Summary

Provides leadership and coordination for community arts programming, cultural events, and public engagement initiatives that support the mission of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. The position is responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing arts, educational, and community-based programs through the Paducah School of Art and Design and the Clemens Fine Arts Center to enhance community involvement, educational opportunities, and cultural enrichment.

Job Duties:

- Develop, coordinate, and implement community arts, cultural, and educational programming through the Paducah School of Art and Design (PSAD) and Clemens Fine Arts Center.
- Plan and administer community education classes, workshops, camps, and special events that support lifelong learning and community engagement.
- Coordinate the annual Clemens Fine Arts performance series, including artist selection, scheduling, contracting, promotion, and event execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, arts organizations, schools, community groups, businesses, and government agencies to advance the College's arts mission.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and other external funding sources that support arts programming.
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to increase awareness, attendance, and participation in arts and educational programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate community programming with academic offerings and student engagement initiatives.
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, contracts, hospitality, volunteers, facility coordination, and program evaluation.
- Monitor program budgets and assist in developing revenue-generating opportunities through workshops, performances, camps, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
- Conduct assessments and collect participant feedback to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Research best practices and emerging trends in community arts, arts education, and cultural programming to support strategic planning and program growth.
- Represent WKCTC, PSAD, and the Clemens Fine Arts Center at community events, professional meetings, and regional arts initiatives.
- Assist with strategic planning efforts that support the growth, sustainability, and visibility of the College's arts programs.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned that advance the mission and goals of WKCTC, PSAD, and the Clemens Fine Arts Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in arts programming, community engagement, event planning, arts education, cultural programming, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
- Experience developing and coordinating public programs, workshops, performances, exhibitions, or community education initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with community organizations, schools, businesses, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in marketing, communications, social media, and audience development for programs and events.
- Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with common digital communication and marketing platforms.
