Job Title: #2022 Staff Instructor V/ Director of Healthcare Partnerships and Student Success (working title) for Allied Health/Nursing – Band 10

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Jefferson Community & Technical College has an opening for a fulltime Director of Healthcare Partnerships and Student Success. This is a grant funded Allied Health and Nursing position.
• Provide career awareness and counseling to students that are interested in Allied Health and Nursing professions. • Empower students through coaching to achieve academic success (recruitment and retention) • Provide a supportive environment that promotes personal and academic growth • Work directly with the local high schools and employers in student recruitment • Connect students to academic programs and resources on campus designed to support their success. • Help students develop skills to successfully meet the demands of a health care profession. • Targeted outreach to various student populations to support and engage their transition and persistence as a Jefferson student, with sensitivity around issues that affect diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and historically marginalized students as well as English Language Learner students • Assist students in college application process and assist college admissions staff via student referral process • Assisting students in navigating student services to understand their graduation requirements and progress toward degree completion • Monitoring the academic progress of students completing pre-requisite courses • Assist students with Allied Health and Nursing program advising as needed • Maintain contact information for high school partners, employer partners, and all records and files of students interested in Allied Health and Nursing programs for the purposes of data collection and analysis.
SALARY: The annual salary is $50,000.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (related field), and three years related experience (in student recruitment, advising, and retention), or equivalent. Extensive experience in student recruitment, advising and retention preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Preferred experience as an educator within a health profession and/or experience working in a health care profession.
This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consists frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
