Job Summary
The Director of Student Administrative Technology position will provide leadership, management, and direction for all support and functional operations of the PeopleSoft (PS) Campus Solutions to include the supervision of functional leads for the modules. In addition, the position is responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision of end-user support programs for all PS Student Administration users throughout KCTCS. End user support programs include end-user orientation and training (online and in-person), knowledge transfer of system operations and procedures, troubleshooting/testing of system issues, and management of the KCTCS Technology Solutions help desk.
Due to the nature of the position and the management of the help desk and user support operations, this position does require the employee to be accessible 24/7. On occasion, work must be completed on evenings, weekends, and over holidays.
This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year and located in Versailles, KY.
This position offers the ability to work REMOTE if desired with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 2 days per week.
Job Duties:
• Provide vision, leadership, and direction for the following PS modules: Student Self-Service, Student Records, Faculty and Advising Centers, Admissions and Recruiting, Curriculum Management, Campus Community, and Academic Advisement. Leadership for these areas includes providing a vision of where KCTCS needs to be strategically with the PeopleSoft functionality.
• Communicate with KCTCS system and college leadership on policies and procedures related to the use and operation of PS Campus Solution; Serve as the TS leader on several projects as well as other work groups or committees as assigned by the Vice President.
• Serve as the project manager for all special projects as assigned by the Vice President. Special projects have included things such as the development of an online admissions application and the development of other in-house customizations.
• Lead, direct, and manage the staff within the department including the help desk support staff, security administrator, and functional leads for student administration.
• Oversee the development and management of PS end-user training and documentation for all modules of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (except Financial Aid) and any additional software or tools used to improve the user experience such as Visual Schedule Builder. End user training includes online tutorials, in-person training, live webinars, and printable user guides. In-person training sessions may require management of the Campus Solutions training database.
• Supervision of user security for all Campus Solutions modules to include all employees at the college and system level that utilize the system.
• Provide management and direction to the KCTCS Technology Solutions help desk. The help desk now serves all areas of TS enterprise operation and is utilized by all colleges to request assistance for these operations. In addition, this position is responsible for managing access to the My Oracle Support website for all KCTCS personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Equivalency is defined as:
• Associate’s Degree and nine (9) Years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree and seven (7) Years of relevant experience
