Job Summary

ECTC is seeking a Director of Student Support Services (SSS) to provide academic and other support services to low-income, first-generation, or disabled college students to increase student retention and graduation rates. The director’s time will be split between the ECTC Leitchfield campus and the ECTC Springfield campus. The director is responsible for all facets of designing, implementing, administering, supervising, and evaluating the SSS project.
This is a grant-funded position through 2030, with annual evaluations.

Job Duties:

• Facilitates the development and implementation of all aspects of the grant.
• Administers and manages the budget in accordance with college policy and in compliance with requirements and regulations of the U.S. Department of Education.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates all program personnel.
• Assist SSS participants with postsecondary course selection.
• Evaluates SSS program and services to ensure SSS grant goals and objectives are met.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Risk Assessment for the program.
• Collaborates with campus personnel, community partners, and agencies to advocate for low-income, first-generation, and disabled SSS participants.
• Assists with the selection of program participants and completion of the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, higher education, or related field and five years of related experience, or equivalent. Successful applicants should demonstrate:

• Travel & Valid Driver’s License
• Experience working with federal regulations, including EDGAR and Cost-Circulars.
• Experience in administration, teaching, or related fields with data management, budget, and supervisory experience.
• Experience assisting first-generation, low-income, or disadvantaged populations and an understanding of cultures, heritages, and learning styles of individuals served.
• Knowledge and experience in financial aid, advising, career counseling, and college admission procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills required.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple constituents, including college administrators and community agencies.
