Job Summary
Manage and maintain the integrity of fire rescue training in one of 12 regions of the Commonwealth located in Paris, KY. Market and provide training to fire departments, business and industry, local, regional, state and national government agencies, while staying within budget constraints. Assist with fire schools and other fire service events. Manage vehicles, training props, equipment, and mobile training trailers. Foster and promote partnerships at the local, regional, state, and national level while adhering to KCTCS guidelines.
Job Duties:
Manage, coordinate, and schedule state funded training; manage EMS, AAS degree, and industrial training programs; and manager and/or assist regional and state fire schools.
Manage area fire training budget, local AAS degree/EMS training budget, and area industrial budget.
Supervise field office coordinator, support staff, and adjunct faculty. Assist with reviewing and/or developing curriculum, maintenance and distribution of training programs and materials to SFRT staff. Oversee all paperwork and program operations.
Manage training center, mobile training props and fleet. Track, maintain, and schedule equipment and property, trucks, vehicles, trailers and training props and equipment.
Attend meetings and conferences including local, regional, and state firefighter association meetings. Serve on local, regional, state and national committees.
Instruct classes and help as needed with projects, programs, and requests for information/assistance from Fire Commission office, fire departments, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent
3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience
Additional Skills Requested:
Kentucky Accredited Certification Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Level II (or equivalent)
