Salary Range: Minimum $35,568

Job Summary

Provides adult basic education classroom training and assists with outreach and marketing.

Job Duties:

• Assists director of the Western Region Migrant Service Center in addressing Title I, Part C grant objectives.
• Uses databases and word processing programs effectively.
• Maintains program database and student records.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and written skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work with limited direction.
• Must be able to work with a diverse population.
• Provides individual and group tutoring across multiple subject areas in varied environments (school, home, etc.) to at-risk students to ensure high school graduation.
• Identifies and recruits eligible students for the Migrant Education Program within the service area, as needed.
• Provides training support for Western Region school district staff.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education or content-related field), and one-year related experience or equivalent for experience only.
• They will have earned a 12.9+ score in every content area on a TABE A or, within the past 10 years, they will have earned a 21-composite score on an ACT or 990 on the SAT.
• A current teaching certificate in the content area of instruction is preferred.
• Dependable transportation.
