Salary Range: $4098-$5123

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Job Summary

State Fire Rescue Training Area 15/BCTC is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of EMS-Paramedic Instructor/Program Director.

Job Duties:

  • Administration, organization, and supervision of the educational program

  • Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program

  • Long range planning and ongoing development of the program

  • Effectiveness of the program, including instruction and faculty, with systems in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program

  • Cooperative involvement with the medical director

  • Orientation/training and supervision of clinical and field internship preceptors
    The Program Director must be responsible for all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to:

  • Effectiveness and quality of fulfillment of responsibilities delegated to another qualified individual

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of four (4) years certified or licensed as a Paramedic.

  • Provide documentation that two (2) years of the four (4) years’ experience required is experience providing care with an EMS organization that complies with the requirements.

  • Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidenced-informed clinical practice.

  • Provide proof of completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possess a valid KBEMS Level III Instructor certification.
