Job Summary
Human Services Instructor/Program Coordinator Faculty responsibilities include advising, committee work and other institutional services, community service, and professional development. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom. In addition, candidates should demonstrate an interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept.
Job Duties:
• Providing strategic leadership and direction for the HMS program.
• Teaching and advising students.
• Developing and implementing online courses.
• Instructing students according to Curriculum Guidelines outlined by KCTCS and the syllabus.
• Maintaining all state required program documentation and classroom requirements.
• Using PeopleSoft to post no shows, last day of attendance, and grades according to deadlines.
• Using Blackboard for class instruction.
• Recruiting students for the program.
• Other duties as requested/assigned.
• Specialized assignments may include:
o Working with CLIMB (Career Ladders in Behavioral and Mental Health) program.
o Development and maintenance of a Community Advisory Committee for the Human Services Program consisting of representatives in business, human service providers, and other human service-related organizations from the local and surrounding communities to evaluate and recommend human service educational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in human services or related field.
• Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
