Job Summary

Somerset Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Cosmetology Instructor at the Somerset Community College Laurel Campus location.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities include instruction in cosmetology courses, student advising, internal and external service, and professional development. The successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the theory related to delivering cosmetology services. Primary assignment and standard working hours will be Monday through Friday evenings, but may include weekend and/or off-campus courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a current cosmetology instructor's license issued by the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree completed or in progress from a regionally accredited college or university. Five years of work related experience as a licensed cosmetology instructor within the past five years. Must have a current cosmetology instructor's license issued by the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology. Experience using Blackboard or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes.
