Job Summary

Gateway Community & Technical College invites applications for a Paralegal Technology Adjunct Instructor. The qualified instructor will teach in-person paralegal technology courses. The qualified instructor will be expected to work collaboratively with the Paralegal Technology Program Coordinator, perform minimal administrative tasks (such as early alert reporting and final grade reporting) and have a commitment to student success.

Job Duties:

  • Provide instruction to students in assigned course(s) (offered as hybrid courses during the evening).
  • Report no-shows, perform early alert referrals, post final grades, and submit data relevant for measuring student learning outcomes.
  • Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice.
  • Maintenance and care of classrooms and training materials will also be expected.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
  • Teach at various levels to help support the College.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Technology/Studies, or related field.

Experience:

  • 2 years of related work experience or licensed attorney with a minimum of two (2) years experience working with paralegals.
  • Previous teaching experience is desired.
  • Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
  • Experience working at the community college level is preferred.

  • Must have proficient computer skills in: Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
