Job Summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a Paramedic adjunct instructor who will provide part-time didactic and clinical instruction while supporting student success through academic advising, curriculum development, and coordination of clinical placements. There are multiple openings for this position. Hiring is for the fall 2026 semester.

Job Duties:

The role also includes maintaining accurate records in compliance with JCTC and accreditation standards, participating in college service, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

• Part-time didactic and clinical instruction in the program
• Academic advising for current and potential program students
• Program course and curriculum development
• Internal service to the college via committee participation and engagement as a faculty member
• Continued growth as an instructor via professional development
• Coordination and monitoring of student clinical placements at local healthcare facilities
• Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records according to all JCTC and accreditation policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the program coordinator and Dean of Allied Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

Paramedic adjuncts
• Paramedic License (KBEMS)
• Level 3 Instructor credential (KBEMS)
• ACLS instructor (AHA) - if not already certified, must be obtained within one year.
• CPR instructor (AHA) - if not already certified, must be obtained within one year.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

An associate degree or higher
Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); college policies, procedures, and practices.
