Job Summary
Seeking an experienced manufacturing programmer / CNC Operator to deliver hands-on workforce training for incumbent workers and adult learners. This non-credit instruction is provided on-site at local manufacturing and industrial employer locations, or in campus-based labs as needed. This position is ideal for industry professionals with a strong coding background who enjoy mentoring and teaching adults as needed basis.
Job Duties:
Teach foundational and intermediate topics in industrial/manufacturing programming, including:
Reading, writing, and editing manual programs for CNC mill
Reading, writing, and editing manual programs for CNC lathe
Response to prompts
Preparation of a conversational program
Edit of existing conversational programs
Deliver content using hands-on demonstrations, simulation panels, and real-world troubleshooting scenarios
Reinforce safe work practices in all aspects of instruction
Prepare and maintain instructional materials and equipment
Communicate with Workforce Solutions team, employer partners, and learners about training logistics and expectations
Support learners with informal assessments, real-time feedback, and coaching
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required. A trade school certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in a related technical field is a strong plus.
Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant experience as a CNC programmer or machinist in a manufacturing environment is desired
Extensive knowledge of G- and M-code programming for CNC mills and lathes, including program loading, verification, and editing.
Ability to travel to employer sites within the northern KY and southern OH region
Experience working with or training adult learners
Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Prior teaching, coaching, or technical training experience
High attention to detail and safety
Self-directed, dependable, and professional
