Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of Part Time Staff Tutor. The Staff Tutor will be responsible for working with students to provide tutoring services in math and a variety of other courses, that reinforce key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom, especially those students with accommodations.

Job Duties:

Duties to include but not be limited to:
• Provide students with supplemental skills and teach skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills and approaches to answering test questions for math and other coursework
• Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks to reinforce key concepts .
• Demonstrating academic best practices for math course assignments, including research and writing tactics
• Providing students positive and constructive feedback on progress where appropriate
• Providing tutoring services at HCTC locations, through various modes (on campus or online)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
