Job Summary

Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the (Student Only) part-time position of Testing Center Assistant. This department provides area businesses and industries, the community and local school districts, college students, and individuals with a broad range of testing services. This position will assist the Testing Center Staff with daily responsibilities while providing great customer service.

Job Duties:

  • Helping customers and staff with the check-in process.
  • Greeting candidates
  • Checking in candidates.
  • General office duties: data entry, copying, scanning, filing, stocking office
  • supplies, maintaining testing rooms and supplies, running errands, and similar
    duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Work Hours: Up to 20 / week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Suite experience.
  • Dependable - able to maintain a work schedule.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Organized
  • Able to work with individuals and groups.
  • Follows instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Federal Work-Study Program provides funding for part-time employment to qualifying students. If you have unmet financial need as determined by the most recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), are enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Gateway and have a GPA of at least 2.0, you may be eligible for FWS.
