Tuition Waiver

All Colleges within KCTCS offer tuition waivers to employees, spouses and dependent children (age 23 or less, as defined by federal financial aid guidelines) for up to 18 credit hours per year (six hours in the fall, spring, and summer) per person at any KCTCS college.

Community Service Day

KCTCS employees receive 7.5 hours of paid time off to volunteer per Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30). Spend your day-off volunteering and wearing your College's gear making our community a better place!

Institutional Close

All Colleges within KCTCS observe a two-week institutional closing beginning in December, which will include the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Helpdesk Coordinator II

Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the Helpdesk Coordinator II position. This position will give technology support for evening classes and events. The Helpdesk Coordinator II position will primarily serve the Hazard Campus and the Technical Campus. Shift hours will primarily be Monday through Friday 12:00 pm -8:30 pm. Student Support Specialist I (Success Coach)

Hazard
Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the Student Support Specialist I (Success Coach) position. Serves as a Student Success Coach for the Student Support Services grant, connecting students with academic and non-academic resources, providing career counseling, financial aid navigation, advising, class registration, tutoring services, access to support programs, and connection to HCTC student accessibility support services. This position is responsible for delivering Success Coaching and academic advising services that promote student persistence and academic achievement, connecting students with resources to address non-academic barriers, maintaining accurate and ongoing student records and data, and supporting the fulfillment of HCTC Student Support Services grant objectives. This position is grant funded.

Surgical Technology Program Coordinator/Instructor

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of Surgical Technology Program Coordinator/Instructor. The Surgical Technology Program Coordinator/Instructor will provide coordination of and instruct courses within the Surgical Technology program.

KNAT Coordinator

Hazard
Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the KNAT Coordinator position. The KNAT Coordinator will provide leadership support and services for the regional Nurse Aide (MNA/KMA) programs. The KNAT Coordinator will be the point person providing regional support to long-term care facilities, schools, instructors, and students with timely completion of reports. The KNAT Coordinator will enforce, ensure, and monitor compliance of all federal and state regulations/guidelines working at the local and system level. Review of applications will begin July 7, 2025.
