Job Summary

The Institutional Effectiveness Specialist III position is responsible for facilitating communication of data through collaboration, information visualization, performance measure development, calculation, validation, and fulfillment of ad hoc requests.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.

Job Duties:

Maintain data warehouse and Tableau visualizations. This includes continual improvement to streamline data loading and validation processes to meet internal and external publication deadlines.

Develop documentation and training resources for external audiences, particularly College IR/IE staff, to understand logic and to best utilize products such as the Tableau dashboards and KCTCS data warehouse dashboards/reports.

Develop internal documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency in routine work (such as performance measure calculations and Tableau dashboard updates).

Collaborate closely with ORPA and other departments to address data quality issues, metrics, and streamline data processes. This collaboration will emphasize the needs of areas to provide unsurpassed customer service with timely and accurate responses to leadership priorities and other ad hoc requests. In addition to preparing data, this includes training requesters to locate existing information as well as improving resources such as the KCTCS Factbook to incorporate frequently requested information.

Responsible for ensuring consistency and accuracy of performance metrics across a variety of platforms (e.g., Tableau and data warehouse dashboards, scorecards, and external resources such as CPE's progress reports). This includes within-ORPA communication to ensure data is validated and responsibility for development and calculation of assigned performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Institutional Research/Reporting, Computer Science and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education, Institutional Research/Reporting, Computer Science and seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
