Salary Range: $4,400.00 ($44,000 annual salary) 

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Work Location: On-Site

Job Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technology Instructor to educate and mentor students in both theory and hands-on practice at our Montgomery campus in Mount Sterling, KY. Job Duties:

Plans and carries out instructional activities and prepares learning materials for Air Conditioning Technology (HVAC) Program. Provides instruction to students using both theory and hands-on lab activities. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps program updated to comply with current industrial standards. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills, and technical expertise in the area of Air Conditioning Technology (HVAC) will be required. Instructor will also be responsible for student advising, internal and external service, coordinating program activities, and other duties as required. Must have work experience in the Air Conditioning Technology (HVAC) field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Air Conditioning Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of related work experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of related work experience plus state HVAC license, and knowledge of refrigeration, heat load/duct design, variable speed compressors.

Additional Skills Requested:

Must be able to work as part of a team and must value collaboration; possess good teaching and organization skills; able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written expression.
