Salary Range: 50,000.00

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Standard Hours: 37.50

Job Summary

The Behavioral and Social Sciences Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a full-time Education Instructor.

Job Duties:

This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in Education both online and in the classroom, maintaining office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of Microsoft Outlook and Blackboard for course delivery, communication, and feedback.

Other faculty duties include:
• Academic advising
• Course and curriculum development
• Internal and external community service
• Educational leadership and professional development.

This position requires the supervision of other employees. How many employees will be supervised? 1

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s Degree or higher with a minimum of 18 credit hours in Education 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree or higher specifically in Education with 2 years teaching experience at the college level online and in-person. Familiarity with community colleges and their mission is a plus.


Additional Skills Requested:

This position requires professionalism and good communication skills, including providing feedback and maintaining regular communication with students, within a reasonable period, outside of the classroom.

Physical Requirements:
Comfortable environment and sedentary work: no unusual physical requirements
