Job Summary
Somerset Community College invites applications for an Administrative Assistant II position. This position provides administrative support to the Advancement and Marketing departments in support of unit goals. Reports directly to the Director of Advancement.
Job Duties:
• Process invoices and manage departmental procurement card statements in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate meeting logistics by scheduling meetings, reserving spaces, and securing necessary resources to support department operations and events.
• Maintain organized department files, assist with mailings, and manage the photography repository to ensure easy access to digital assets.
• Track, stock, order, and inventory office supplies and SCC promotional items under direct supervision to ensure
adequate materials are available for daily operations and special events.
• Assist with distributing marketing assets across communication channels including social media platforms, TV
monitors, digital signage, and internal communication systems.
• Support monitoring of student engagement and responses on digital and social media platforms, escalating
questions or concerns as appropriate.
• Provide support for SCC events as needed, including event setup, coordination, and occasional photography
assistance.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Marketing and Advancement departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and one year of related administrative experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three years of related administrative experience or equivalent.
