Title: Administrative Assistant-TRIO (Part-Time)

Salary Range: $17.50/hour

Contract Term Length: Not Applicable

Job Summary

Provides routine administrative support to the TRIO director and staff in support of unit goals. General office duties, monitoring of all student’s needs, database management for grant reporting needs.

Job Duties:

  • Organizes and updates program information both internal and external. Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures.
  • Performs general support duties such as data entry to maintain federal reporting records.
  • Serves as receptionist, greeting visitors, answering phones, monitoring availability of staff, etc. Serves as an occasional point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information.
  • Assists with confidential materials related to the department.
  • Provides support to program participants in computer lab, printing services, study space, etc.
  • Program representation at college wide events as needed. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • One (1) year relevant experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable with data entry and database management.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
     

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior administrative or clerical experience preferred.

Previous experience in a community college setting
