Job Summary

WKCTC is seeking an energetic, people-focused Admissions and Outreach Coordinator to connect prospective students with opportunities and help them take the next step toward college. This position combines administrative support with admissions assistance to help students move from initial interest through application, adult and community recruitment, and prospective student outreach.
The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, being active in the community, helping others navigate unfamiliar processes, and working as part of a team committed to student success.

Job Duties:

• Conducts outreach and follow-up with prospects and applicants through phone, email, text messaging, and other communication methods.
• Maintains accurate records of prospective student contacts and activities using the college's CRM and student information systems.
• Provides administrative and operational support for admissions communications, student follow-up, reports, tracking, and routine departmental processes.
• Recruits prospective non-traditional students and assist with applications, admissions requirements, and next steps, connecting them with appropriate college resources when needed.
• Represents WKCTC at community events, employer and organizational outreach activities, recruitment events, and other opportunities focused primarily on connecting with adult learners, career changers, returning students, and other prospective students.
• Builds connections with prospective non-traditional students and provides information about WKCTC programs, admissions requirements, services, and enrollment steps.
• Conducts campus tours, information sessions, presentations, and other prospective student activities.
• Assists in planning recruitment events, open houses, campus visits, and other enrollment activities.
• Teaches GEN 100 Introduction to College in the area high schools or its equivalent.
• Maintains positive working relationships with community and college partners.
• Participates in college events, professional development, and other activities as assigned. Some local travel and occasional evening or weekend work is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 1-2 years related experience in data or project management.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the college's service area.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to effectively use computers and common office technology.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment and college events.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using CRM systems, student information systems, databases, or other tracking systems.
• Knowledge of community college programs, admissions processes, or enrollment services.
• Experience in higher education, admissions, recruitment, student services, sales, community outreach, customer service, or a related field.
• Experience working with adult learners or non-traditional student populations.
• Experience conducting presentations, community outreach, or recruitment activities.

The Director is accountable for the performance of Admissions and Recruitment while contributing leadership and expertise to the college’s broader enrollment efforts.
