Job Summary

The Biology Department of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has openings for part-time Biology Adjunct Instructors to teach all levels of biology. Common courses in which we are in need:

• Bio 112: Intro to Biology (Lecture)
• Bio 113: Intro to Biology (Lab)
• Bio 135: Basic Anatomy and Physiology with Laboratory
• Bio 137: Human Anatomy & Physiology I (Lecture & Lab)
• Bio 139: Human Anatomy & Physiology II (Lecture & Lab)


Job Duties:

The primary responsibilities of these positions are:
• Lesson plan and teach courses.
• Maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students.
• Attend faculty success and retention activities.
• Utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and
feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher and at least 18 graduate hours in Biological Sciences. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Priority consideration is given to applicants who can teach on campus at our remote campuses: Springfield and Fort Knox. If you can teach at a remote campus, please make note of this on your application and/or cover letter.

Part-Time Library Assistant (Open Until Filled)

The MCTC Part-Time Library Assistant supports the daily operations of the Licking Valley campus library by assisting students, faculty, and staff with circulation, reference, and technical support needs. This position is for 16 hours each week, in person and not eligible for remote services.
