Salary Range: $50,000

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Job Summary

The Biomedical Technology Faculty responsibilities include advising, committee work and other institutional services, community service, and professional development. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom. In addition, candidates should demonstrate an interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept.

Job Duties:

• Providing strategic leadership and direction for the BTS program.
• Teaching and advising students.
• Developing and implementing online courses.
• Instructing students according to Curriculum Guidelines outlined by KCTCS and the syllabus.
• Maintaining all state required program documentation and classroom requirements.
• Using PeopleSoft to post no shows, last day of attendance, and grades according to deadlines.
• Using Blackboard for class instruction.
• Recruiting students for the program.
• Other duties as requested/assigned.

Faculty responsibilities include advising, committee work and other institutional services, community service, and professional development. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom. In addition, candidates should demonstrate an interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Technology OR 3 years work experience in the field.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
