Job Summary
Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical is seeking a Financial Specialist III to perform complex financial operational duties, including budget management, procurement, inventory control, compliance oversight, and financial reporting for a college, program, or department. This role also manages ProCard auditing, asset tracking, copier leasing, district vehicle records, and ensures adherence to institutional and regulatory financial policies.
Job Duties:
• Analyzes and reconciles financial transactions, including purchasing card activity, accounts payable/receivable, fund ledgers, and grant budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and audits to track spending trends, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance with institutional policies.
• Processes and oversees procurement activities, including purchase orders, repayable vouchers, reimbursements, and vendor transactions, ensuring proper account coding and documentation.
• Manages institutional assets and inventory, including Perkins grant equipment, general inventory, and capital assets, ensuring accurate tracking, relocation, and disposal.
• Audits and monitors district travel expense vouchers, ProCard charges, and copier leasing agreements for compliance with financial regulations and institutional guidelines.
• Maintains oversight of district vehicle records, including fuel usage monitoring, insurance verification, and issuance of fuel cards.
• Serves as a liaison for financial operations, assisting internal stakeholders with budget management, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports financial administration by maintaining accurate fiscal records, drafting reports, and ensuring financial data integrity to enhance operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience. Relevant experience - 4 to 6 years.
