Job Summary

The Director of Enrollment provides strategic and operational leadership for WKCTC’s Admissions and Recruitment functions and leads the development, implementation, and assessment of enrollment strategies that support institutional goals. Using enrollment, recruitment, application, and conversion data, the Director identifies trends and opportunities, anticipates challenges, and translates findings into targeted strategies and measurable results.


The Director oversees the prospective student journey from initial interest through application and transition to enrollment and provides direct leadership to Admissions and Recruitment personnel. The position requires strategic thinking, independent judgment, data analysis, problem solving, and the ability to lead strategy from development through implementation and assessment.


Working closely with the Vice Chancellor of Student Services and college partners, the Director identifies and addresses barriers to enrollment, coordinates cross-functional strategies, and promotes a seamless experience for prospective and incoming students. The Director is accountable for the performance of Admissions and Recruitment while contributing leadership and expertise to the college’s broader enrollment efforts.

Job Duties:

• Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive enrollment and recruitment strategies aligned with institutional priorities and enrollment goals.
• Analyze enrollment, recruitment, application, and conversion data to identify trends, forecast enrollment, recognize opportunities and risks, and develop evidence-based recommendations for action.
• Monitor the enrollment funnel from initial inquiry through enrollment, identify barriers to student progression, and implement targeted strategies to improve conversion.
• Establish measurable goals and key performance indicators for Admissions and Recruitment, regularly evaluate performance, and use results to adjust strategies, priorities, and resources.
• Develop targeted recruitment and outreach strategies for traditional-age students, adult learners, returning students, and other priority populations, and evaluate efforts based on measurable enrollment outcomes.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Admissions and Recruitment, including staff supervision, professional development, performance management, and accountability.
• Lead the effective use of the college’s CRM and related technology to manage the enrollment pipeline, coordinate prospective student communication and follow-up, support outreach, and inform decision-making.
• Provide college leadership with enrollment projections, performance updates, emerging trends, and strategic recommendations.
• Lead continuous improvement of admissions and recruitment processes and collaborate across Advising, Records, Financial Aid, Business Services, Academic Affairs, Marketing, Workforce Solutions, and other areas to address barriers affecting enrollment.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with high schools, community organizations, employers, workforce partners, and other external stakeholders that support recruitment and enrollment.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative in identifying enrollment challenges and opportunities, developing solutions, leading appropriate action, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, and student-centered service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, student personnel administration, business, marketing, or a related field.
• Three years of progressive management or supervisory experience in enrollment management, recruitment, and/or admissions within a higher education institution.
• Demonstrated experience supervising professional staff, managing performance, and leading teams toward measurable goals.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing recruitment or strategic enrollment management plans and evaluating their effectiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze enrollment data, develop projections and performance measures, and use findings to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Experience using CRM and student information systems to manage prospective student populations and support the enrollment process.
• Experience leading collaborative or cross-functional initiatives involving multiple departments or stakeholders.
• Knowledge of student recruitment, outreach, admissions processes, marketing, and enrollment technology.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
