West Kentucky Community & Technical College is a five-time top ten college in the nation. The Clemens Fine Arts Center (CFAC) and Paducah School of Art and Design (PSAD) are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Visual and Performing Arts. Paducah is designated as a UNESCO City for the Arts and this position offers an exciting opportunity to join an institution dedicated to artistic expression, cultural enrichment, and community connection.

Job Duties:
Strategic Planning and Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to CFAC and PSAD, by developing and implementing strategic plans in alignment with PSAD and CFAC's mission and goals, focusing on community arts education and enrichment.
Marketing and Alternative Revenue Streams: Provide a comprehensive short term and long-term plan to increase attendance, engagement and support of the Arts and incorporate best practices of generating multiple revenue streams for CFAC and PSAD
Collaborative Partnerships and Community Relations: Cultivate and maintain collaborative partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and businesses to enhance interdisciplinary projects, joint programs, and shared cultural experience to build strong community relationships, foster collaborations, and promote the cultural vibrancy of our West Kentucky region.
Artistic Programming: In collaboration with campus stakeholders, assist in the curation and implementation a diverse range of visual and performing arts events, such as theatre productions, dance recitals, musical concerts, art exhibitions, workshops, and guest speaker series.
Community Arts Education and Outreach: Expand community arts education initiatives by developing workshop offerings, masterclasses, and other educational programs that cater to students of all ages and skill levels, while engaging in outreach efforts to promote CFAC and PSAD's mission and programs within the community.
Digital Engagement and Resource Management: Utilize digital platforms to enhance outreach and accessibility, including live streaming of performances, online workshops, virtual exhibitions, and digital marketing strategies. Work in collaboration with campus stakeholders to manage budgetary resources effectively and ensure the efficient operation of CFAC and PSAD facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, public relations, arts administration, performing arts, visual arts, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in arts programming, budget management, and staff supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the arts, with a track record of promoting cultural understanding and accessibility.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in visual and performing arts education, programming, and technology.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate a compelling vision for PSAD and CFAC and engage diverse audiences.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for fostering artistic excellence and community engagement.
