Job Summary

Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking a Facilities Worker II to provide support in the Maintenance and Operations unit. The Facilities Worker II will primarily serve the Hazard Campus, Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Review of applications will begin September 1, 2026.

Job Duties:

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
• Groundskeeping to include grass cutting and weeding.
• Custodial to include cleaning of offices, bathrooms, classrooms, windows, floors, etc.
• Light maintenance to include minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Event set up and tear down.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School degree plus one year related experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with all types of groundskeeping machinery is preferred.

Additional Skills Requested:

This position will be required to lift and transport heavy objects. Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
This position will be required to operate groundskeeping equipment. Applicant will be expected to work outdoors to complete groundskeeping tasks.
