Job Summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College Southwest Campus is seeking a web designer to construct and maintain the Geospatial Technology Consortium of Community Colleges website. This position is 100% grant funded. Continuing employment is contingent upon funding. This position will be starting 9/15/2026.

Job Duties:

The individual hired will construct sites to disseminate the curriculum created, provide data, and maintain a repository of presentations.
• Creates and maintains content for digital portfolios
• Applies concepts, policies, processes, and standard for development of Web resources
• Assists with strategic planning of KCTCS’s integrated internet resources
• Consults, instructs, and guides content contributors and identifies training needs and opportunities
• Diagnose cause of problems, proposes potential solutions within the goals of the job
• Establish and maintain GTC3 website to house curated content, promotional materials, a calendar of events
• Establish and maintain a platform for Honor Society members to access resources, connect with peers, mentors, and professionals
• Maintain tools like resume building kits and an industry contact directory for Honor Society members’ use.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
Relevant years of experience, 2 to 4 years
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Well-versed in both web design and geospatial software
Communicates to resolve routine to complex problems directly tied to the job.

System Director of Safety & Emergency Services (Manager IV- Safety)

Provides operational leadership, direction, and training to the staff of the Division of Safety and Emergency Services and KCTCS college employees involved in the office's functional areas; Responsible for the coordination of plans and programs that protect lives and property, prevents accidents and incidents, and preserves the learning environment and business operations of KCTCS; all KCTCS Environmental Health and Safety, Crisis Management, Title IX Compliance related to safety and security, and System Office security, safety, and environmental management Services. During an emergency, maintain a command center for monitoring and managing the emergency operations; and other duties as assigned. Coordinates efforts of Safety and Security managers at system colleges to jointly develop system wide security and safety initiatives. Regularly engage with Safety and Security managers system wide to ensure effective and timely support of system Safety and Security enterprise. This position will focus on hazard-based risk identification, mitigation, and controls. The Director of Safety and Emergency Services will also provide support and expertise to KCTCS college representatives and local, state, and federal partners.
