Job Summary
The KNAT Coordinator serves as the point person for the regional Nurse Aide and Kentucky Medication Aide programs, offering support to long-term care facilities, schools, instructors, and students. The role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and coordinates all aspects of program delivery, training, and reporting.
Job Duties:
Program Management & Oversight:
- Regional management of MNA/KMA programs, courses, instructors, and testing.
- Maintaining training and testing records, overseeing clinical rotations, managing Memorandums of Agreement, and ordering equipment.
Instruction & Faculty Development:
- Teaching and overseeing MNA/KMA courses, including MOI and MOI Train-the-Trainer courses for qualified nurses.
- Developing class schedules, recruiting, supervising, and training instructors.
- Evaluating instructors and verifying compliance of faculty and staff KCTCS+1.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Enforcing and monitoring compliance with federal, state, and KCTCS policies for Medicaid Nurse Aide and Kentucky Medication Aide programs KCTCS.
Support & Collaboration:
- Serving as a resource to long-term care facilities, secondary partners, nurse aides, and instructors.
- Attending and serving on system meetings, committees, and training
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold an unencumbered Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing with a minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in long-term care.
- Must have completed a course in teaching adults or have prior experience in adult education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Nurse Aide Training, clinical instruction and healthcare regulatory compliance.
Additional Skills Requested:
- Knowledge of federal/state regulations for NAA/KMA programs and KCTCS policies
- Strong organizational, data management, and compliance oversight skills
- Experience with clinical coordination and MOA management
- Effective communication and collaboration with faculty, partners, and regulators
- Leadership experience in supervising and evaluating instructors
- Ability to analyze outcomes and support continuous program improvement
- Proficiency with data systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Office
- Commitment to workforce development and student success
