Job Summary

ECTC Springfield Campus is seeking a regular, full-time 10-month (August – May) Mathematics tutor for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant to provide students with math tutoring.
This is a grant-funded position through August 31, 2030, with annual evaluations.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducts intakes and assists participants in developing an educational plan.
• Plans activities for educational and cultural awareness and career exploration.
• Helps develop and conduct the Risk Assessment program.
• Tutor individual and small groups in mathematics, as needed.
• Develops and implements peer tutor training.
• Assists with the selection of program participants and completion of the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Education, or related field and two years related experience, or equivalent.


Successful candidates should demonstrate:
• Demonstrate success in overcoming barriers similar to those of the target population.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively on a team.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to assess the skill level and abilities of students and provide appropriate assistance.
• Strong time management, organizational, and people skills.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Word, MS Access, and MS Excel.
• Proficient in developmental math topics through calculus.

Position is open until filled, review begins October 15, 2026.
