Job Summary
The Modern Languages department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening to teach an online course in Medical Interpreting at the downtown Louisville campus.
Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback.
Please note that this is an adjunct pool. We will only contact applicants as needed for classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Eighteen graduate hours in a Modern Language Master’s degree program, along with certification as a Medical Interpreter from a program such as Bridging the Gap, or 2) a Master’s degree in Modern Languages along with certification in Medical Interpreting.
Applicants must have certification as a Medical Interpreter to be considered for this job.
