Job Summary

The Nursing Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has multiple openings for full-time Practical Nursing Instructors for the Downtown and the Carrollton Campus. These positions start 8/3/2026.

Job Duties:

This position could have teaching responsibilities at all JCTC campuses which offer nursing courses. This position will be responsible for full-time didactic and clinical instruction in the Nursing Program. Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Academic advising
• Course and curriculum development
• Internal and external community service
• Educational leadership and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in nursing with at least five years’ experience in Nursing. Must have an unrestricted unencumbered KY Nursing License or compact state License to practice nursing in the state of Kentucky. 

Preferred Qualifications:

At least five years’ experience in Nursing. BSN will be preferred, will take ADN with BSN in progress. Considered with the requirement of obtaining an BSN in nursing education within 5 years. Medical-surgical nursing experience is required within the last 5 years. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Must be proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite. Preference will be given to
qualified applicants with previous teaching experience, knowledge of nursing at the associate degree level, and leadership experience.

Occasional and /or light lifting – limited exposure to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
