Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Lab Instructor for the Respiratory Care Program.

Job Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with laboratory exercises and assessments.
• Instruct students in-person in the laboratory setting of the Respiratory program.
• Organize Respiratory supplies and equipment.
• Set up and take down laboratory demonstrations with direction from program faculty.
• Assess student progress in laboratory via skill competency check-offs and computer simulation.
• Assist Program Director & Director of Clinical Education in maintaining documents necessary for CoARC program accreditation.
• Stay current with advances in Respiratory Therapy technology and instructional practices via professional development and application in program instruction.
• Communicate and collaborate with Program Director, Director of Clinical Education, and Dean of Allied Health to maintain program, department, and college success.
• Participate in in-person and online department and college-wide meetings, committees, and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Applied Science for Respiratory Care, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.

Additional Skills Requested:

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Candidates should also have experience and sensitivity working with students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include assisting new and continuing students with scheduling, responding to student questions and requests, identifying students who may be at risk for academic failure, and implementing strategies that promote student success. This position will primarily serve students on the Rowan campus of MCTC. This is an in-person role that requires a regular on-campus presence and may not eligible for remote work. The position is based primarily in a professional office environment.

Administrative Assistant II

Morehead, Kentucky. Mount Sterling, Kentucky Staff
The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative and operational support to the Allied Health and Nursing divisions across the Rowan and Montgomery campuses. This position requires an in-person schedule split between both campuses each week, typically three days at Rowan and two days at Montgomery, with travel between campuses required. Responsibilities include supporting daily division operations, maintaining Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) compliance as the designated clerical staff for the Nursing Division, assisting with ACEN accreditation, and meeting institutional requirements. Duties include document preparation, student records management, class scheduling, admissions processing, budget coordination, purchasing, travel support, internal and external communications, and assisting faculty and leadership with data collection, reporting, and accreditation and program review activities. This is an on-site position in a primarily office-based environment.

Practical Nursing Instructor Maysville (OPEN UNTIL FILLED)

As an instructor for the Practical Nursing Program and faculty member of MCTC, the primary responsibility is the implementation of set curriculum regarding instruction and instructional activities as well as preparation of learning materials for special study. This is a split campus position between Maysville & Rowan campuses. Travel between campuses is required.
