Job Summary
An instructor is needed to teach introductory physics classes and physics labs primarily in person on the Jefferson Community and Technical College Carrollton campus in Louisville, Kentucky for two days and one evening per week. The position is open for the spring semester 2027.
Job Duties:
Previous teaching experience in the field is a plus, experience with BlackBoard Ultra, good communication skills, positive teaching evaluations, and incorporating diverse perspectives into teaching. JCTC offers training in these areas, if needed. This opening will require lecturing, setting up physics experiments and running them, and regular grade keeping.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS degree in Physics, or 18 hours of graduate-level physics instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD and/or 3 years of teaching experience in introductory physics courses and labs. PhD and 3 years of teaching experience in introductory physics courses and labs.
