Job Summary

The Allied Health Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Surgical Technology Full-Time Instructor. Jefferson Community & Technical College is shaping the next generation of surgical technologists who will walk into operating rooms across Kentucky ready to perform. If you hold the credentials, the clinical experience, and a genuine commitment to student success, this full-time faculty role puts you at the center of that work.

Job Duties:

This position will be responsible for:
• Didactic and clinical instruction in the Surgical Technology program
• Continued growth as an instructor and surgical technologist via professional development
• Coordination and monitoring of student clinical placements at local healthcare facilities
• Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records according to all JCTC and ARC/STSA policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Surgical Technology program coordinator and Dean of Allied Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in related field, certified surgical technologist 

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching or precepting experience.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional and /or light lifting – limited exposure to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)

The position works closely with the Community Arts Coordinator, PSAD Director and faculty, and other college departments to support Community Education classes, community outreach initiatives, events, tours, marketing, and PJC-related activities.
