Salary Range: $48,168 minimum salary

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Job Summary

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:

Directs the theater’s technical operations, with oversight for multiple areas including lighting, sound, set design and construction, costumes, props, and scenery. Administers budget, program approach, and schedules for productions.
• Directs all theatrical technical operations, including sound, lighting, property, and effects, supervising all aspects of production.
• Oversees daily operations and provides technical support and supervision for productions and events for 929 seated multi-disciplinary art centers.
• Skilled in or have some knowledge of live sound reinforcement, lighting design and implementation (including movers), rigging, scenic and costume design, and construction.
• Skilled in written and verbal communications, time and resource management, and computer proficiency.
• Collaborates with producers and writers to determine technical requirements and approach.
• Develops drawings and plans for construction design.
• Develops budget estimates and recommendations for productions.
• Ensures that adequate staff are on hand for production and other activities for safe operation.
• Experience in local theater productions and road show coordination.
• Knowledge of sound reinforcement, lighting design and implementation (including movers), rigging; scenic, costume design and construction; written and verbal communication; time and resource management; computer proficiency and visual art installation.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre or related field, and two to four years related experience, or equivalent.
