WHY SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY?

SKCTC first opened its doors in 1960 with its original campus located in Cumberland, Kentucky. Since then, the College has grown to include campuses in Barbourville, Harlan, Middlesboro, Pineville, and Whitesburg—all in the heart of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Multiple campuses enable the College to serve a six-county area, including counties in Tennessee and Virginia.

All campuses enjoy proximity to hiking trails, stunning natural scenery, local wildlife, and numerous outdoor recreational activities. The Cumberland Gap National Historical Park as well as several state parks are nearby. Residents throughout the region enjoy an unusually affordable cost of living.

Perks YOU gain working within KCTCS!

Tuition Waiver

All Colleges within KCTCS offer tuition waivers to employees, spouses and dependent children (age 23 or less, as defined by federal financial aid guidelines) for up to 18 credit hours per year (six hours in the fall, spring, and summer) per person at any KCTCS college.

Community Service Day

KCTCS employees receive 7.5 hours of paid time off to volunteer per Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30). Spend your day-off volunteering and wearing your College's gear making our community a better place!

Institutional Close

All Colleges within KCTCS observe a two-week institutional closing beginning in December, which will include the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Tuition Discounts

KCTCS currently has tuition discount agreements with Morehead State University, Western Kentucky University, and Northern Kentucky University.

As part of KCTCS, each college offers a 403(b) retirement plan. A 5% employee contribution receives a 10% employer match

Business Administration Instructor/Business Program Coordinator	Cumberland	Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College is accepting applications for a Business Administration Instructor/Business Program Coordinator. This position is a full-time 10-month, faculty position, combined program coordinator, and teaching position that includes key responsibilities in program development, coordination, instruction, assessment, and evaluation. This role helps ensure efficient program operations and consistent support for students, families, and community partners
Administrative Coordinator-Southeast Scholars	Cumberland	Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College is seeking an Administrative Coordinator role for the Southeast Scholars Program is responsible for delivering direct program support to students and families in Harlan County, while carrying out day-to-day program activities. This position leads recruitment efforts for students in grades 6 through 12 in coordination with school partners and provides ongoing mentorship, advising, and family engagement for program participants. The Administrative Coordinator facilitates weekly sessions focused on academics, life skills, leadership development, and career exploration, and supports the planning and implementation of the Summer Institute, workshops, and community service projects. This is a grant funded project ending June 30, 2027.
