Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to be part of our facilities team on our Springfield Campus. The purpose of this position is to support the ECTC mission by maintaining the day-to-day operations, delivering routine maintenance, and providing a safe and clean environment, as well as assume responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the college.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoots and performs corrective maintenance on all utility systems including electrical circuits, motor controls, and HVAC.
• Performs corrective maintenance on plumbing fixtures and piping.
• Performs basic carpentry skills
• Repairs and replaces light bulbs and other electrical components in equipment rooms and in general building maintenance.
• Seasonal grounds keeping to include: mowing, weeding, trimming, and snow and ice removal.
• Room set up- moving furniture.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED, and two years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds
• Available to work flexible weekday or weekend shifts.
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to effectively communicate using auditory and visual methods,
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical demands primarily include walking or standing, using fingers, hands, and arms to reach, and regular stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
