Salary Range: $43,000 - $50,000

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Job Summary

The Workforce Liaison serves as a key connection between the college, employers, and community partners to develop and deliver high-quality training and workforce initiatives. This position focuses on building strong relationships with business, industry, and economic development leaders to identify workforce needs, customize training solutions, develop proposals and pricing, and support regional economic growth. The Workforce Liaison works closely with internal teams to ensure training programs are relevant, industry-aligned, and delivered at the speed of business.

Job Duties:

• Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry associations, workforce boards, and community organizations to identify and address training needs.
• Coordinate with faculty, instructors, and college departments to design, schedule, and deliver customized training programs.
• Develop proposals, cost estimates, and pricing models to present training solutions to businesses and organizations.
• Promote available training opportunities to businesses, organizations, and the community.
• Support the development and implementation of new workforce training programs and initiatives.
• Represent the college at workforce, industry, and community events to promote services and expand partnerships.
• Provide ongoing follow-up with employers to ensure training satisfaction and explore additional opportunities.
• Track and report on outreach activities, employer engagement, and training outcomes.
• Assist with grant-funded projects, reporting requirements, and compliance as needed.
• Participate in strategic planning for workforce and economic development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in workforce development, economic development, training and development, business, education, or a related field.
• Experience in training and development, workforce development, or economic development.
• Strong skills in Excel for developing proposals, cost estimates, and pricing models.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with learning management or registration systems preferred.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a higher education or training environment.
• Knowledge of regional labor market trends and workforce needs.
• Familiarity with grant-funded training programs.

Additional Skills Requested:

• Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally (up to 25%).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for event and training setup.
