Job Summary

Adult Agriculture Program Coordinator / Kentucky Young Farmers Advisor will provide leadership, service, and support in the development and delivery of KCTCS Adult Agriculture educational programs that support the KCTCS strategic plan. Provide guidance, leadership, technical assistance, and coordination to the KCTCS Adult Agriculture programs and related staff, serve as Advisor to the KY Young Farmer association, and represent KCTCS at official agriculture functions in KY.

This is a remote, temporary/part-time position.

Job Duties:

Support 12 Adult Ag Instructors in the design and delivery of educational programing to meet agriculture community needs.

Communicate and convene Instructors for mentoring, networking and training. Work with local instructor supervisors as necessary.

Design and administer a monthly performance and accountability reporting process and tool.

Advise and support the KY Young Farmers Association.

Maintain program budget and track equipment. Facilitate annual execution and monthly invoicing of MOA subcontracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Administration, Agriculture Education and three (3) years relevant experience or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Administration, Agriculture Education and five (5) years relevant experience or equivalent.

Working Conditions/Job Hazards:

Normal office environment and farm visits (tractors, livestock, combine and other farm equipment) with moderate noise (examples: business office computers, printers, etc.).

Low degree of hazard or danger associated with the job.
